I bought this book for my 45 yr. What was one of the most memorable moments of Evolve Your Brain? Sometimes too much information, too much anatomy. Most Helpful Yokr Recent. My biggest peeve, though, is the structure and writing of the book. It’s just fascinating to learn how our mind works.
There were some good nuggets of information in there, but pages was too long a commitment to get those infrequent morsels.
It doesn’t really matter if that ‘spiritual stuff’ is real or not, believing it and triggerin VERY in depth, scientific explanations for how the brain works and interacts with your body, emotions, mind. I should have listened to this book first before listening to the sequel Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself. It’s basically about stepping out of survival mode and dispneza wiring your brain to the point that you can perceive reality dkspenza and make different decisions, experience different emotions, and know more joy and awe in your life.

It is difficult at first and requires our utmost attention but we eventually wire our brain so that no conscious thought is necessary other than to decide to ride the bike. There are been plenty of great books that take a proven scientific approach to self improvement.
This is an intriguing exposition on how the brain works and how we can overcome addictions and habits. However, we can, with conscious effort change ourselves. This book blows the doors off mere positive thinking by explaining in an engaging manner how our dispenxa can become addicted to the chemicals produced by certain emotional states.
A prime example of Mr. Also, I recommend the ebook and not the audiobook. There is also a heavy focus on meditation.
